Columbus Voyeurism Lawyer
ORC § 2907.08
Definition of Voyeurism
- Invading the privacy of another,
- For the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification
Overview and Potential Penalties
The law prohibiting voyeurism is aimed at penalizing “peeping toms.” Voyeurism is a misdemeanor of the third degree, which is punishable by up to 60 days in jail and a maximum penalty of $500. Unfortunately, there is a serious consequence of registration under the sexual offender law in Ohio, so these cases, while only misdemeanors, are very serious.
At Funkhouser Law, we know that everyone accused of voyeurism is presumed innocent. As such, we work hard to accomplish the most favorable outcome for each of our clients.
If you have been accused of voyeurism, please call Funkhouser Law for a free consultation with an experienced peer-rated lawyer.
