Overview and Potential Penalties
The law prohibiting voyeurism is aimed at penalizing “peeping toms.” Voyeurism is a misdemeanor of the third degree, which is punishable by up to 60 days in jail and a maximum penalty of $500. Unfortunately, there is a serious consequence of registration under the sexual offender law in Ohio so these case, while only misdemeanors, are very serious.
