Illegal Dispensing of Drug Samples

Defined
- A person who is not a drug manufacturer, wholesaler, pharmacist, owner of a pharmacy, or licensed health professional authorized to prescribe drugs,
- Knowingly furnishing,
- a sample drug.
Potential Penalties
Illegal dispensing of drug samples is typically a felony of the fifth degree and can be punished by a sentence of 3-11 years in prison and a fine of up to $20,000.
