Ohio Three Day Program

A motorist convicted of drunk driving will be sentenced to a minimum of 3 days in jail. Judges may allow motorists to complete a 72-hour driver intervention program (DIP) in lieu of jail time. These state-certified programs focus on alcohol and substance abuse education and assessment. DIP programs are attended at the expense of the convicted motorist, with average prices ranging from $300.00 to $500.00.
