Canton Man Killed in 2-Car Accident

Sheriffs in Stark County, Ohio is probing into deadly wreck that has taken the life of an elderly man in Canton. Sheriffs stated that multi-automobile crash happened about Wednesday morning in the northeast part of Lake Township. Mr. Tovissi, 80, was operating a White Ford Taurus heading westbound down Mt. Pleasant when he failed to adhere at the traffic sign at Market Avenue.

Tovissi's automobile, which also was transporting his spouse, Steph, 76, collided into a BMW operated by Mr. Foote, 48, of Uniontown, Ohio. Also in Foote's vehicle at the time of the crash was his spouse Laura, 45, and sibling, Reagan, 11. Lewis Tovissi, who had to be extricated from his vehicle, died at the scene according to authorities. Stephanie Tovissi was taken to Local Medical Center, where she is in the critical condition.

The Footes were taken to Canton's Medical Center. No information was available on their well being at the current moment. The crash report points out that the Mr. Tovissi car veered into the lane of the Foote’s automobile, which was moving northbound on Market Avenue.  Deputies are has setup an on going investigation.
