Man in SW Ohio Gets 8 Years for 19th DUI Offense

One of Ohio's six worst drunken drivers has been sentenced to 8 years in prison after being convicted for his 19th DUI offense.

Judge Noah Powers lectured Stephen W. Wolf, 51, about his drinking and driving record that dates back  to 1978, just before his 22nd birthday.

Wolf had faced up to 10 years jail time for a hit and run accident that occurred in Fairfield Township last summer.

Wolf is among 4 other Ohio drivers that have 19 DUI convictions.  Two others are tied for the Ohio state record of 20 convictions.

Though Wolf has managed to disregard license suspensions since at least 1984, Judge Powers has imposed a lifetime driving suspension.
