Topics at the Advanced DUI Seminar included:
Attorney Douglas A. Funkhouser participated in this seminar. He obtained hands on training in the use of breath machines. Breathalyzer tests are very common in DUI cases. Law enforcement officers typically use the BAC Datamaster machine to do an infrared analysis that determines a driver’s blood alcohol concentration. “Hands on” operation of the breath machines included conducting and assisting with various testing procedures and dealing with common reliability issues that arise with the use of breath tests such as accurate calibration of the instrument and proper administration of the test. |
